Colour – Varies from black, brown to light brown depending on the species.
Habits
Carpenter Ants feed on a wide range of food especially other insects. The main colony in indoors will have to be associated with water leaks or overly wet area.

Characteristic
Size – Up to 4 – 5 mm long
Colour – Dark Brown Black
Their colonies can reach up to around 15,000 workers but usually colony is at about 4,000 to 7,000 workers and the queen can live up to 12 years.
Habits
Black Garden Ants prefer sweet food and high proteins food as well. Garden Ants tends to often nest outdoors in the soil.

Characteristic
Size – Up to 1.5 to 2 mm long
Colour – Light Yellow & Brown abdomen
Pharoah Ants are multi queen colonies which cannot be control by normal residual treatment. The size of the colony tends to be large but can vary from a few dozens to several hundred individuals.
Habits
Pharoah Ants usually established themselves in areas near to moisture and can travel from room to room within pipes and electrical wires. Colonies can be found nesting in walls, furniture and appliances.
